Ask about your trucks, loads, drivers, paperwork and money from the AI app you already use, on your phone or your computer. Your AI can also draft loads from rate confirmations. Nothing is sent, dispatched, signed or paid until a person does it in Oculus.
It's included in every Oculus Freight plan. You need your own Claude or ChatGPT account. Claude's free plan can use connectors; check that your ChatGPT plan supports apps.
What you can ask
- "Where is truck 214, and when will it get to the receiver?"
- "Which trucks are free tomorrow morning near Columbus?"
- "What's the status of load 48213?" or "Find the Nashville load from last Tuesday."
- "Which delivered loads are still missing a POD?"
- "Which stops are at risk of being late today?"
- "How many driving hours does Ivan have left?" and "What trip is Ivan on?"
- "Which driver and truck documents expire this month?"
- "Any alerts on our trucks today?"
- "How did we do last week?" and "What's still unpaid?" (for roles that can see money)
- "What did the broker say about load 48213?" (connected mailboxes) and "What did dispatch say in chat about it?"
- "Who is this broker in our customer list?" and "What's waiting for me?"
- "Read this rate confirmation and tell me the pickup and the rate."
What it can prepare
- A draft load from a rate confirmation, either one you attach or one in a connected mailbox.
- The draft waits in Oculus, labeled with the AI app and your name, until a person reviews and publishes it.
What it can't do
- send messages or emails;
- dispatch a truck;
- accept or sign a rate confirmation;
- move money or change pay.
Drivers can't connect AI apps.
Who can connect
- Admins, by default. An owner can let other roles connect in the permission settings.
- The company switch. A company admin turns AI connections on under Settings → Integrations → AI. Turning it on accepts section 8 of the Terms of Service for the company.
- Each person's own access. Each person connects with their own Oculus Freight login and sees only what their role allows.
How to connect
- Claude: add the Oculus Freight connector from Claude's connectors directory. You can also add it as a custom connector with this address:
https://api.oculus-freight.com/mcp - ChatGPT: add Oculus Freight from ChatGPT's apps directory.
- Then: sign in with your Oculus Freight account, review what the app can do, and select Allow.
Your data, and the safeguards
- Permissions. Every request runs with your own permissions and is checked again each time. If your role changes or your access ends, the AI app loses access too.
- Records. Every request is recorded: who made it, which app, what was asked, and the result. The records are kept for 90 days, and admins see recent activity under Settings → Integrations → AI.
- Cutting a connection. Admins can cut any connection, and each person can cut their own.
- Automatic pause. Oculus pauses a connection automatically when activity looks like probing or scraping. Only Oculus can lift that pause.
- Limits. Current limits:
- 60 requests a minute per connection;
- 10 a minute for heavy searches;
- 5,000 a day per company.
- Once the answer reaches your AI app, that app's own terms and privacy policy apply. See section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
